PositionDefender/Centre back

Taylor was an extremely influential figure for Plymouth Argyle in 2000-01 and this was recognised when he was appointed captain in the absence of the injured Mick Heathcote.

A commanding centre back, he takes a powerful free kick and is a constant danger when coming up to join the attack for set pieces.

He had the misfortune to suffer a broken ankle against Southend United in April that put him out of action for the last few weeks of the campaign.

Taylor joined Devon neighbours Torquay United in June 2003 on a two-year contract that was extended to June 2006 in July 2004.
