After playing for Mansfield Town during his youth career, Colin - who is also known as Junior - joined Crewe Alexandra in May 2007 with a contract to June 2009.
His contract at Macclesfield Town was extended to June 2013 in October 2011.
He joined Port Vale in July 2014 with a two-year contract.
Colin joined Blackpool in July 2016 with a one-year contract.
