Cryan made his senior debut for Sheffield United when he came on as a late substitute in the Worthington Cup tie against Colchester United and went on to receive a couple more outings from the bench in 2000-01.
A powerfully built midfielder who has come up through the ranks he works hard to support both attack and defence.
He was a regular in the Blades' successful reserve team featuring in the Avon Insurance League Cup final victory over Stoke City.
Cryan joined Boston United in January 2007 with a contract to the end of the season.
