PositionDefender

A rugged and powerful defender, Clint Hill again produced some committed displays for Tranmere Rovers in 2000-01 while managing a considerable improvement in his disciplinary record.

Although he accumulated a number of yellow cards, he received no red ones during the campaign.

Solid at the back, he continued to provide a threat when moving up to join the attack and netted six valuable goals.

Out of contract at the end of the 2001-02 season, Clint decided to accept Oldham Athletic's offer of a four year deal.

As he was under the age of 24, a £225,000 compensation fee was agreed.

However, due to the Latics' financial problems, he moved on to Stoke City in July 2003 in a three-year deal.

His Potters contract was extended to June 2008 in October 2005.

Clint joined Queens Park Rangers in July 2010 with a two-year contract that was extended to June 2013 in June 2012, to June 2015 in June 2014 and to June 2016 in July 2015.
