Having shown considerable promise during the 1999-2000 campaign, Clint must have been a little disappointed at his inability to pin down a regular first-team place for Watford in 2000-01.
When selected, he caught the eye with his assertive play and willingness to take responsibility and manager Graham Taylor was supportive, commending his patience and commitment.
A left-sided midfield player, he turned down the opportunity of a transfer to Luton Town to stay and press his claims for the Hornets before signing for Norwich City during the 2001 close season.
Clint's contract at Carrow Road was cancelled by mutual consent in May 2004.
He joined Wycombe Wanderers in July 2004 with a two-year contract.
Clint joined Gillingham in July 2006 with a one-year contract.
