Jensen became Charlton Athletic's record signing in the 2000 close season when they paid Bolton Wanderers £4million for his services.
His sub appearance in the Addicks last game of the 2001-02 season at Manchester United was the talented midfielder's first outing since January following groin and knee injuries.
An inventive passer rather than prolific scorer, he provides Denmark with an attacking midfield alternative to Thomas Gravesen and Stig Tofting.
Jensen started his club career with Naestved, joining Lyngby before he came to England with Bolton Wanderers for £1.6million in July 1998.
Jensen joined Fulham in July 2004 with a three-year contract.
