One of the lesser known members of the star-studded Argentine midfield ranks, Claudio is likely to provide back up for Marcelo Bielsa's squad in Japan and South Korea. Following seven seasons with Velez Sarsfield, he had a brief spell at River Plate prior to signing for Italy's Napoli in October 2000. The deep-lying midfielder recently decided to return to River.
