Christian Atsu joined Chelsea in September 2013 with a five-year contract.
After a loan spell, he joined Newcastle United in May 2017 with a four-year contract.
Christian was reported missing in the aftermath of the devastating Turkey–Syria earthquake on 6 February 2023. His body was recovered 12 days later from the rubble of his home in Antakya.
