Grandfather Brian Miller, father Derek Scott and uncle David Miller are all ex-Clarets so there should be plenty of advice on hand should Keith need it. He was pitched into first team action during the early part of the 1998-99 season, due partly to injuries, and made a favourable impression even if he was at times a little over exuberant (5 yellows). However with Burnley's star in the ascendancy he found it difficult to get further first team experience and, after a loan spell with Leigh RMI, he was released in the summer of 2001. He began the new season at Hilton Park but was released in December.
