Chris Lucketti was appointed Huddersfield Town's skipper in 2000-01 and despite the occasional injury battled on throughout the season rarely missing a match.
A commanding central defender with an uncompromising approach, he scored his only goal of the campaign with a 30-yarder in the 2-1 home defeat by Crystal Palace in August.
Strong in the air and a good distributor of the ball, he clocked up his 50th appearance for the club against Gillingham.
He impressed with his never-say-die attitude but in the end was unable to halt the Terriers slide into Division Two.
Chris' contract at Preston North End was extended to June 2006 in January 2005.
He was made available for transfer by Sheffield United in December 2006 before his Blades contract was extended to June 2008 in July 2007.
Chris re-joined Huddersfield Town in July 2008 with a two-year contract but was made available for transfer in March 2009.
