A total of some 450 first team appearances for his three clubs. Chris joined Oldham Athletic on loan last September as Latics' boss Andy Ritchie sought to stem a run of four defeats from five games. He produced a fine performance on his debut in a 0-0 draw against Bristol City but after a handful of games he picked up an injury and returned to Gresty Road. He was subsequently dogged by a succession of injuries and failed to make a single first-team appearance for Crewe during the season. A tall commanding central defender he had a few outings with Kidderminster reserves towards the end of the campaign in a trial period.
