An athletic forward with considerable pace, Chris struggled to recapture the consistent form that persuaded Arsenal to invest £1.5million after over 200 games for Ipswich Town.
Getting on for 400 club appearances in total, Chris made a promising start to the 2000-01 season with Queens Park Rangers, scoring a number of goals before suffering an injury at the end of September.
He came back just three games later but this proved to be too soon as he aggravated the problem and was sidelined until the turn of the year.
He subsequently returned to first-team action but failed to capture his early season form in a struggling side.
A pacy striker, he can either play on the left-hand side or in a central role.
Chris was one of 15 players released by Rangers in the 2001 summer.
