Sheringham, who is the son of Teddy Sheringham, was previously associated with Millwall and Tottenham Hotspur.
He joined Crystal Palace in July 2006 with a monthly contract that was extended to June 2008 in August 2006.
Sheringham joined AFC Bournemouth in October 2011 with a contract to June 2013.
