This exciting Middlesbrough youngster eased his way into the first team last season when he featured in 13 Premiership games, almost exclusively being used from the substitutes' bench. An attacking midfield player he has skills galore being strong, fast and full of confidence, while he is an explosive dead-ball kicker. Although in the past, like so many others to emerge from South America, he has been burdened with the label 'the next Maradonna', there is certainly no doubt that he has plenty of talent.
