Carlos Edwards joined Wrexham on a three-year contract in August 2000 along with Hector Sam after finally securing a work permit.
He proved to be an exciting wide right midfield player, capable of causing problems for any defence.
Already an established international for Trinidad & Tobago, he appeared regularly in the squad during their qualifying campaign for the 2002 World Cup finals.
Carlos' contract was extended in March 2003 to June 2005.
He joined Sunderland in January 2006 with a contract to June 2010.
Carlos joined Ipswich Town in September 2009 with a two-year contract.
His Town contract was extended to June 2013 in March 2012 and to June 2014 in January 2013.
After a loan spell, he joined Millwall in July 2014 with a one-year contract that was extended to January 2016 in August 2015 and to June 2016 in November 2015.
