Just the one substitute appearance for Carl so far but it's early doors for the young goalkeeper. Carl started the 2000-01 season as third-choice goalkeeper at Swansea and in October was sent out on loan to League of Ireland club Waterford where he earned some good reviews. Following another loan spell with League of Wales side Bangor City he was recalled to the Vetch Field and was on the subs' bench for the LDV Vans Trophy tie against Brentford when he made his senior debut after Roger Freestone received a red card. A promising youngster he will hoping to extend his first-team experience in the 2001-02 campaign.
