Dutch international Bolo joined Chelsea from Barcelona.
However his form was erratic and after a season on loan, he joined Middlesbrough in July 2004 where he scored in the Carling Cup Final against Bolton Wanderers.
Bolo moved to Liverpool in July 2005, and was made available for transfer in May 2007.
He joined Sunderland in October 2009 with a contract to June 2010 that was extended to June 2011 in May 2010.
