Tambling scored on his League debut for Chelsea and then went on to become Chelsea's record goal scorer. He was one of the top strikers of his time and won three full caps for England. With Chelsea he won promotion to Division One in 1962-63, the League Cup in 1965 and an FA Cup runners-up medal in 1967.
