Hansen had a fantastic season for Bolton Wanderers in 2000-01. Although he had previously played as a centre forward, boss Sam Allardyce saw his potential in other areas and the hunch proved to be a masterstroke.
Featuring mainly on the wings or just behind one or two other front-line strikers he was a revelation. Quick and skilful, with bags of pace and willing to chase every ball he swiftly become a real crowd favourite.
