Icelandic international at U-16, U-18 and U-21 levels. Has made about 120 UK club appearances. Bjarne signed for Scunthorpe after a trial last September and quickly established himself as a first choice in the United midfield. Hard-working and skilful he passes the ball accurately and has a powerful shot which brought him a number of long range goals. He netted with a brilliant 25 yard free-kick in the 4-0 victory over York in February and is very capable of getting more from a midfield position.
