Moon held the record of being England's youngest-ever goalkeeper for 124 years as he was only 19 years and 221 days when he played against Wales at Crewe on 4 February 1888.

At 19 years and 158 days, Jack Butland of Birmingham City became the new record holder when he made his debut against Italy in Berne on 15 August 2012.
