A tremendous tackler, Billy (known as Killer) McGlen gave yeoman service on the left side in the immediate post WW2 era, even filling in on the left wing after Charlie Mitten's abrupt departure to Bogota in 1950. Billy was a great crowd favourite, utterly fearless and playing with boundless enthusiasm throughout.
