With Liverpool, Ireland international Bill Lacey was an FA Cup runner-up in 1914 and 1st Division Championship winner in 1922 and 1923 after joining from Everton in 1912.
He also set the long-standing record as the Republic of Ireland's oldest-ever player as he was 40 years and 225 days when he won his third and final cap for the Republic team against Belgium in Brussels on 11 May 1930.
