Northern Ireland international Bill Dickson overcame many injury problems including a slipped disc, a knee operation, appendicitis and a dislocated shoulder to become renowned as a wonderfully constructive wing-half. He moved on to Arsenal and later became Arsenal's chief scout in Northern Ireland.
