Griemink joined Swindon Town in July 2000 following a successful loan period the previous season and was immediately installed as the Robins' first-choice 'keeper. He retained his place until the new year when he dropped out through suspension, and when his understudy Steve Mildenhall came in his form was such that Griemink failed to win his place back. Despite his height he is very agile and gets down well to cover ground shots.
Griemink joined Southend United in July 2004 with a two-year contract. He announced his retirement in May 2006 due to a knee injury.
