This influential midfield player joined the staff at Ibrox as a 16-year old in July 1994 and went on to make his senior Rangers debut in 1997.
Barry became a regular in the first team in 1998-99 and, after winning 12 caps at Under-21 level, he made his full debut for Scotland against Lithuania in October 1999.
The younger brother of former Rangers star Derek Ferguson recovered from a fractured pelvis in March 2000 when he was one of the few home-grown players to feature regularly for Gers.
Barry's transfer request was accepted by Blackburn Rovers in January 2005.
He joined Birmingham City in July 2009 with a three-year contract.
Barry joined Blackpool in July 2011 with a two-year contract that was extended to June 2014 in May 2013.
