Made his debut as a substitute in the 1999-00 season and made five more appearances from the bench in 2000-01. After developing through the ranks at Swansea Bari stepped up to make his Football League debut when he came on from the subs' bench for the final minutes of the game at Millwall last September. He made further appearances as a substitute later in the season before being sidelined by a groin injury in April. A promising young midfielder or striker he was one of a number of fringe players at Vetch Field who suffered from the absence of regular reserve-team football last term.
