Asmir Begović's contract at Portsmouth was extended to June 2011 in July 2008.
He joined Stoke City in February 2010 with a contract to June 2014.
Asmir entered the Guinness World Records book for the longest goal scored in football. He netted from a long kick forward after only 13 seconds in a 1-1 draw against Southampton in the Premier League at Stoke's Britannia Stadium in November 2013. It has been measured at 91.9m (301ft 6in), earning it the accolade in the record book's 2014 edition.
He joined Chelsea in July 2015 with a four-year contract.
Asmir joined Everton in July 2021 with a one-year contract that was extended to June 2023 in June 2022.
He re-joined the Toffees in August 2024 with a one-year contract.
