The Hon. (later Lord) Arthur Fitzgerald Kinnaird has been described as football's first superstar.
During his time and his leadership, the game rose from being played in parks before a handful of spectators to become the national sport played in front of crowds of over 100,000.Educated at Eton College, he played in a record nine FA Cup Finals, was a member of Scotland's first-ever international team and was President of the Football Association for 33 years from 1890 until his death, shortly before the opening of Wembley Stadium, in 1923.
