Sinton was hampered by niggling injuries that restricted his appearances for Wolverhampton Wanderers in the first half of 2000-01. He came more into the picture in the new year after netting his first goal at Portsmouth in January and he added a second with a delightful lob at Crystal Palace, but still failed to make the same sort of impact as he did in his first campaign at Molineux.
An experienced left-sided midfield player he is still capable of beating defenders down the flank and going on to deliver a pinpoint centre.
