This left-sided player began the 2000-01 season playing in a wide-midfield role, but when Brentford hit an injury crisis he was switched to striker with devastating effect.
He hit a total of 15 goals in 27 league and cup games for the Bees before he was surprisingly sold to Oxford United along with Rob Quinn.
However, although he took some time to settle in a struggling Us side, he finished the campaign with a flourish, netting five goals in 12 games.
A hard-working striker, he established a useful partnership up front with Phil Gray at the Manor Ground.
Andy agreed a new one-year deal with Oxford United in June 2003 before joining Leyton Orient in March 2004 with a contract to June 2005.
Andy announced his retirement in April 2005 due to a heart condition.
In April 2011, Andy became manager of Rotherham United where his brother Rob had been a player from 1998 to 2005.
