Myers had an unfortunate start to the 2000-01 season for Bradford City, suffering a torn hamstring in the home game against Arsenal at the beginning of September. He returned to action at the end of November but found it difficult to re-establish himself in the line-up and it was only when Myers O'Brien was sold to Newcastle United that he came back on a regular basis, appearing at centre half. A versatile defender who also played at left back he is quick off the mark and very strong in the tackle.
Myers joined Brentford in July 2004 on a one-year contract.
