In what was his final season at Norwich City before he took advantage of the Bosman ruling to move on, Andy Marshall produced a string of thrilling displays on a consistent basis to confirm his position as one of the best goalkeepers outside of the top-flight in 2000-01.
Tremendously athletic, he possesses fantastic reflexes and agility making him a top-class shot stopper.
His handling of crosses improved immensely, as did his kicking, but week-in, week-out, he kept his side in games they might otherwise have lost and also kept the opposition at bay when City were in front.
Andy was made available for transfer by Ipswich Town in May 2003.
He joined Millwall in March 2004 with a contract to the end of the season.
Andy joined Coventry City in July 2006 with a two-year contract that was extended to June 2009 in April 2008.
He joined Aston Villa in August 2009 with a one-year contract.
After initially being released, Andy's contract at Villa was extended to June 2011 in September 2010 and to June 2012 in March 2011.
