Having been badly affected by injuries in 1999-2000, Andy returned to the Leyton Orient line-up at the start of 2000-01 in the new position of central midfield. The switch proved a great success and he went on be a near ever-present for the Os. An effective box-to-box player, he is an excellent tackler and capable of both breaking up and creating attacks. He was rewarded with a new two-year contract in the summer of 2001.
