Andy Gray again struggled to make some impact on the Nottingham Forest first-team squad in 2000-01 and rarely featured at all before breaking through in December.

He subsequently appeared fairly regularly, mostly being employed as an orthodox right back.

However, he looked far more comfortable playing on the right-hand side of midfield and seemed to struggle to settle down in his new role.

Andy joined Sunderland in August 2005 with a three-year contract.

After a loan spell, Andy joined Sunderland in June 2006 with a three-year contract.

He joined Charlton Athletic in January 2008 with a contract to June 2011.

Andy's contract at Barnsley was extended to June 2012 in May 2011.

He re-joined Leeds United in July 2012 with a one-year contract.

Andy re-joined Bradford City in January 2013 with a contract to June 2014 that was cancelled in May 2014.
