This ever-reliable central defender was controversially sent off in Brighton & Hove Albion's first home game of the 2000-01 campaign and then had to bide his time before he could get back in the side when injuries and suspensions to Danny Cullip and Matthew Wicks led to a recall.
Andy is a steady player who goes about his business in a quiet but effective manner.
He is excellent in the air and comfortable when playing the ball on the ground.
Andy joined Scunthorpe United in May 2004 on a two-year contract that was extended to June 2007 in May 2006.
By now a member of the club's coaching staff, Andy's Iron contract was extended to June 2008 in March 2007.
