Having burst on the scene at Middlesbrough the previous season, Andy found it difficult to win a regular place in what was a struggling side for most of 2000-01.
He eventually joined Bolton Wanderers on a three-month loan spell in March to provide extra options up front for boss Sam Allardyce in the vital closing stages of the season.
However, after three starts and a handful of appearances from the subs' bench, he was recalled to the Riverside to cover for injuries.
A skilful young striker with good pace.
Andy's contract at Cardiff City was cancelled in January 2006.
He then joined Dunfermline Athletic with a conntract to the end of the season.
