After only one appearance for Arsenal (against Sheffield United), Andrew went on to become one of Manchester United's greatest-ever strikers.
One of United's greatest strikers, lightning sharp, deadly near goal, Van Nistelrooy's arrival signalled his departure.
Many pundits were shocked when Kevin Keegan paid a club record fee for the rookie forward. His judgement could not be questioned though when Andrew fired home a tremendous haul of goals to shot the Toon in to the Premiership and establish them in the top.
Andrew joined Fulham in July 2004 with a two-year contract but moved to Manchester City in July 2005 in a two-year deal.
He joined Portsmouth in August 2006 with a two-year contract that was cancelled in August 2007.
He then joined Sunderland with a one-year contract.
Andrew joined Nottingham Forest in July 2008 in a one-year deal.
