Andy Baird was plagued by injuries at Wycombe last term although he featured regularly in the first half of the campaign. However he then damaged his cruciate ligament in the FA Cup fifth round replay against Wimbledon and this brought his season to a premature close. A fearless and hard-working striker who is capable of scoring spectacular goals, he was released by Wycombe in June 2002.
