Alex Haddow
| Date of birth | 08 January 1982 |
| Place of birth | Aldershot |
| Nationality | English |
| Weight | 71 kg |
| Height | 1.73 m |
| Position | Midfielder |
He has made just four appearances for Reading but is still at the very beginning of his career.
A graduate of Reading's Academy, Alex found himself mainly restricted to reserve-team football in 2000-01 and his only senior opportunity came when he replaced Andy Gurney at left wing back for the final ten minutes of the home game against Brentford.
A left-sided player who can also feature in a wide-midfield role, he has a devastating turn of pace and is a neat passer of the ball.
He appeared for the Royals' second-string in the Avon Insurance Combination Cup Final against Norwich City but was given a free transfer by boss Alan Pardew in his end-of-season clearout.
