He has played his football in the domestic league starting with Pachuca in 1996. He spent one season at Monterrey before returning to current club Pachuca in 1998. He has not played much for the international team only breaking into the team under new coach Javier Aguirre in June 2001 against Paraguay in the Copa America. He is a versatile defender being able to fit in at any position but is mostly used from the bench.
