Alan White

White began the 2000-01 campaign as a regular in the Colchester United defence but lost his place in the team following the disastrous Boxing Day defeat at Millwall.

He returned to the starting line-up in March and played an important role for the Us as they successfully avoided the drop to the Third Division.

A commanding centre half in either a back four or three he can dominate opposing strikers with his supremacy in the air.

White joined Leyton Orient in July 2004 on a two-year contract before joining Boston United in March 2005 also with a deal to June 2006.

He then joined Notts County with a one-year contract.

White has also played for Stalybridge Celtic, Gateshead and Blyth Spartans.

In addition to the yellow cards shown below, White was also booked after 14 minutes of Darlington's League Two game at Morecambe on 8 December 2007. The yellow card remains on his disciplinary record even though the game was abandoned after 22 minutes due to a waterlogged pitch.
