Morgan suffered from a series of niggling injuries at Tranmere Rovers in 2000-01 and played most of his football in the club's successful reserve team. A versatile player who is equally at home either at full back or in a midfield role he can also make a decent stab at being an emergency attacker if needs be.
After being released, Morgan joined Doncaster Rovers in July 2002 on a two-year contract but his contract was cancelled by mutual consent by the end of the year.
