Sodje, who is the brother of Efe Sodje, was capped six times at England Under-17 level.
He joined Huddersfield Town in September 2004 with a three-month contract that was subsequently extended to the end of the season.
Sodje joined Darlington in July 2005 with a one-year contract.
He joined Sheffield Wednesday in August 2007 with a three-year contract.
Sodje joined Preston North End in August 2012 with a monthly contract.
He joined Scunthorpe United in January 2013 with a contract to June 2013.
Sodje joined Tranmere Rovers in July 2013 with a one-year contract that was cancelled in April 2014.
