Davison spent most of the 2000-01 campaign as third-choice 'keeper at Bradford City behind Gary Walsh and Matt Clarke.
He played in two early season Worthington Cup ties and also appeared a couple of times in the Premiership at the very end of the campaign.
An excellent shot stopper with quick reflexes, Davison returned to Grimsby Town in August 2003 on a two-year contract but it was cancelled in June 2004.
Davison's contract at Colchester United was extended to June 2007 in May 2006, then to June 2008 in January 2007.
