George rejoined Crewe Alexandra in July 2000 and began 2000-01 as second choice in goal to Jason Kearton.
His patience was eventually rewarded when he stepped up to take over the keeper's jersey at Nottingham Forest on Boxing Day and went on to retain his place until almost the very end of the campaign.
As well as back-up to first choice Stuart Nelson, Ade joined Brentford as goalkeeping coach in February 2005.
