Although also associated with Norwich City as a youngster, Adam is not to be confused with another Adam Smith who progressed to the fringes of the Canaries senior squad at a similar time and also later played for King's Lynn.
After a loan spell, Adam joined Peterborough United in January 2007 with a contract to June 2010 but he was made available for transfer in May 2008.
