PositionMidfielder

In his third year as a professional with Derby County, Adam continued to progress towards a more regular first-team spot with the Rams in 2000-01.

The first half of the season saw him mostly feature from the substitute's bench, but he made the starting line-up for all three of the club's FA Cup ties.

After a spell out injured, he found himself pitched into the relegation battle at the end of the season and he was especially impressive in the crucial win at Old Trafford.

A hard-working right-sided midfield player, he is a tenacious tackler.

Adam agreed a new one-year deal with Derby County in June 2003 but only days later was made available for transfer.

His contract was subsequently cancelled in November 2003 and, after brief stints at Solihull Borough and Burton Albion, he joined Notts County on non-contract terms before agreeing an 18-month contract at Kidderminster Harriers in December 2003.

Adam was made available for transfer by Carlisle United in August 2006.

He joined Macclesfield Town in January 2007 with a contract to June 2009.
