Aaron Phillips is the son of David Phillips who was a member of Coventry City's FA Cup winning team in 1987.
He was selected on Coventry City's subs bench for the first time on 3 August 2013 in a League One game at Crawley Town.
His Sky Blues contract was extended to June 2016 in January 2014.
He joined Northampton Town in July 2016 with a two-year contract.
