Comments:

League position: 17th Since moving to the London Stadium at the start of the previous season, only Swansea City (44) have conceded more goals in home Premier League games than West Ham United (41). The Hammers now had nine points from 11 games; their worst start to a Premier League season since 2010-11 when they went on to be relegated. They had now conceded 14 goals in their last nine home games in the Premier League, despite keeping five clean sheets in that run. West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic said: "There are two situations. One, of course I believe in myself, my staff and my team and my character, I have had a long time in football. I came so far from a small country first as a player and then a manager. I am big fighter and all that. And I am definitely not feeling a broken man. I am very strong. On the other hand, the situation for West Ham is not good and as I said, two years ago, one year ago and now, the club is above every individual and that includes me."

Comments:

League position: 6th This was now only the second time in last 35 years that Liverpool had scored four or more goals in consecutive league visits to same club (also versus West Bromwich Albion; 6-0 in 2002-03 and 5-0 in 2004-05). Mohamed Salah had now scored 12 goals in all competitions in this season. Only Tottenham Hotspur's Harry Kane (13) had scored more in England's top four divisions. Simon Mignolet became the second goalkeeper to captain the Reds in a Premier League game (also Pepe Reina in April 2012). Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp said: "The result, it feels good. We changed our approach, it was a counter-attacking line-up to use our speed from a deep situation. It was brilliant play for the first goal. Our counter-attacking was pretty perfect, we had some wonderful play. Roberto Firmino, I'm not sure I've ever seen a player play a third game in the week with such intensity and I'm a few days in this business. 3-0, 3-0, 4-1; it's a really good week. It's a good moment to have a little break."
